with cream of

mushroom soup

Mexican inspired recipe packed with layers of nacho Doritos, ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, salsas, melty cheese baked until golden delicious.

Main ingredients:

ground beef black beans veggies salsa taco  seasoning stock sour cream Doritos

How to make Dorito casserole in 55 mins

Brown the ground beef, onion, bell pepper and onions then drain the fat from the skillet.

Add salsas, taco seasoning, 1/3 cup of the stock. Cook for about 5 mins - allow to thicken up a bit.

In a large bowl, add the meat mixture, sour cream, black beans, cream of mushroom soup and half of the cheese. Mix together.

Add 2 cups of Doritos to the casserole dish. Top with half of the meat mixture. Repeat layers until the meat is gone and top with more Doritos.

Cover and bake for 30 mins. Remove covering and put remaining cheese on top and bake until cheese has melted.

Make sure you don’t add the cheese at the beginning. Allow the casserole to bake up and then add the cheese towards the end of the baking process. Crush the Doritos a bit in the bag to create less mess.

Cooking Tips

Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days. After that, it may be a bit too soggy. I don’t really suggest freezing this since the texture doesn’t quite remain the same.
