Ingredients
16ouncesham steak
2tablespoonsbutter
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoononion powder
1/2teaspoonpaprika
1/2teaspoondried thyme
salt & pepper to taste
1teaspoonbrown sugar (optional)
Instructions
Season the ham steak with salt & pepper. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme. Rub the seasoning mixture into the meat, evenly on both sides.
Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the seasoned ham steak. You may need to your meat in half depending on the size of your skillet.
Cook 4 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 4 minutes.
Optional step: sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the ham steak. Flip and sprinkle the other side with more brown sugar.
