Ham Steak

Ham steak is a quick and flavorful recipe you can serve on many occasions. Ingredients

  • 16 ounces ham steak
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • Season the ham steak with salt & pepper. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme. Rub the seasoning mixture into the meat, evenly on both sides. 
  • Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the seasoned ham steak. You may need to your meat in half depending on the size of your skillet. 
  • Cook 4 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 4 minutes. 
  • Optional step: sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the ham steak. Flip and sprinkle the other side with more brown sugar.
