Ingredients
1tablespoonoil of your choice
2poundsground beef
28ouncesdiced tomatoes
10ouncesdiced tomatoes with green chiles
215-ounce cansred kidney beans(rinsed & drained)
1smalloniondiced
2clovesgarlic(minced)
2tablespoonschili powder
2 teaspoonscumin
1 1/2 teaspoonssalt
1 1/2teaspoonspaprika
1teaspoonoregano
1/2teaspoon pepper
Instructions
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and onion and cook, crumbling the meat as it cooks, until no longer pink, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain any excess fat. Add garlic and cook an additional minute.
Add the diced tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to mix well.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for approximately 20 minutes.
