Broccoli Cheese Casserole

Broccoli cheese casserole is a classic recipe that's served year-round. From family dinners to holidays feasts, this tasty side dish combines gooey cheese, tender broccoli, and French fried onions for crunchy topping. This easy but flavorful casserole uses simple components but will impress any crowd.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces frozen broccoli, thawed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup French fried onions
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/3 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a 8x11-inch baking dish generously with cooking spray.
  • In a medium-size bowl, add the milk, cream of mushroom soup, and mayonnaise. Mix well. Add the onion, broccoli, half of the cheese, salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika. Mix until well combined. 
  • Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and French fried onions (if using). 
  • Cover with foil and bake approximately 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
