Ingredients For Broccoli Cheese Casserole

  • 12 ounces frozen broccoli, thawed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 
  • 1/3 cup French fried onions
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 10.5-ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/3 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup milk of your choice
  • Seasonings: salt, pepper, thyme, paprika

How To Make Broccoli Cheese Casserole

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a 8×11-inch baking dish generously with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium-size bowl, add the milk, cream of mushroom soup, and mayonnaise. Mix well. Add the onion, broccoli, half of the cheese, salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika. Mix until well combined. 
  3. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and French fried onions (if using). 
  4. Cover with foil and bake approximately 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.

Allow the broccoli cheese casserole to cool before refrigerating. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Like most casseroles, this also freezes well. The best part is you pick whether to freeze the casserole before or after baking. In either case, store in an airtight container and place in the freezer for up to 3 months. Thaw completely before reheating.
