Little Smokies Recipe

These Little Smokies are filled with big flavor and have earned a cherished spot at countless gatherings and parties. These bite-sized cocktail sausages are bathed in BBQ sauce and can be wrapped in bacon, served on skewers, or on a toothpick for the perfect snack.

Ingredients

  • 28 oz Little Smokies packaged sausage I used 2 14oz packs.
  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Dark or light brown sugar will work. Adjust to suit your taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

Slow Cooker

  • Add all of the ingredients to a slow cooker or Crockpot and stir.
  • Cover the pot with the lid. Slow cook for 2-3 hours on Low or 1 hour on High until warm and the sauce has thickened.

Stovetop

  • Add all of the ingredients to a skillet at medium heat. Stir to combine the ingredients.
  • Adjust the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid.
  • Simmer for 20 minutes or however long it takes for the dish to warm and the sauce to thicken.

Notes

You can use white granulated sugar or sweetener if you wish.
