Skillet Shrimp Boil

Skillet shrimp boil is an alternative way of cooking a shrimp boil...on the stove-top! Inspired by a Southern shrimp boil, this tasty seafood recipe comes together quickly and can be tailored to your liking. Using just a few ingredients & done in 30 minutes, this family friendly meal that can be served any day of the week.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp
  • 1 pound red potatoes, diced
  • 15 ounces canned corn, drained & rinsed
  • 14 ounces smoked sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Old Bay seasonings
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the diced potatoes. Cook approximately 10 minutes until soft. Season with salt & pepper as needed. Once soft, remove the potatoes and set aside.
  • Add the smoked sausage & onion. Cook 3-5 minutes or until the onion is soft. Add more butter if needed.
  • Stir in the corn & shrimp. Cook a few minutes until the shrimp is no longer pink.
  • Add the potatoes and the Old Bay seasonings. Mix until the seasoning is evenly distributed. Cook a few minutes until the potatoes are heated through.
