Ingredients
1 1/2cupsgranulated sugar
1/4teaspooncream of tartar
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/3cupwater
2teaspoonslight corn syrup
2egg whites
1 1/2teaspoonvanilla extract
Instructions
On the top of a double boiler, whisk together all the ingredients, excluding the vanilla.
Ensure the boiling water in the lower section doesn't touch the bottom of the top pan. Use a hand mixer at high speed to beat the mixture until stiff peaks form, which should take about 7 minutes.
After removing from heat, stir in the vanilla and continue beating until the frosting is firm enough to hold deep swirls, then use it to frost your desired dessert.
