Ingredients
4cupscabbage, shredded
1cup carrots, shredded
1/2cupwhite vinegar
1/3cupoil
1/4cup sugar (or more)
1teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspooncelery salt or celery seed
1/4 teaspoonpepper
Instructions
In a large bowl combine the shredded cabbage and carrot. Toss until mixed.
Add the sugar, salt, pepper, and celery salt. Pour the vinegar and oil over the cabbage mixture. Toss everything together until all the food is evenly coated.
Cover with plastic wrap or a lid & refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve the vinegar-based coleslaw chilled.
