Ham Steak

Ham steak is a quick and flavorful recipe you can serve on many occasions. Ingredients 

  • Ham Steak
  • Butter
  • Seasoning: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, salt, pepper
  • Brown Sugar (optional)

How To Make Ham Steak

  1. Season the ham steak with salt & pepper. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme. Rub the seasoning mixture into the meat, evenly on both sides. 
  2. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the seasoned ham steak. You may need to your meat in half depending on the size of your skillet. 
  3. Cook 4 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 4 minutes. 
  4. Optional step: sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the ham steak. Flip and sprinkle the other side with more brown sugar. 

What Is Ham Steak

Ham steak is a thick slice cut of ham. It’s usually anywhere from 1/2-inch to 1-inch thick. It’s is a great choice when you’re craving ham but do not want to commit to purchasing a large quantity. Since ham steaks are thin, they cook quickly in less than 10 minutes!

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Re-use your leftovers to make sandwiches, or add it to soups, salads, omelets, etc. 
  • If using, add as little or as much brown sugar to your liking. 
  • Make sure your meat is cooked until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
