Tips for Making a Great Kool-Aid Pie Recipe

  • Soften Your Cool Whip: If you are using pre-made whipped topping, make sure you thaw it so it isn’t hard and it blends perfectly in your mix ingredients.
  • Fold Don’t Overmix: Gently fold your ingredients together so you don’t get rid of the airy texture.
  • Don’t Skip Chilling: Make sure you put that pie in the fridge so it sets up perfectly. I personally like to make mine the night before I want to serve it so it slices perfectly.
  • Pick Bright Colors: For a bright and fun finished pie, avoid really soft colors of Kool-Aid.  Go with bright colors to make sure they pop later on.

How to Store It

It will last in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Just make sure it is covered and kept in something airtight. You can also pop it in the freezer for up to 2 months too!

FAQs

What Kool-Aid Flavor is the best to use?

Honestly the sky is the limit here y’all. Go with what you prefer. I find that fun fruity flavors like strawberry, tropical punch and cherry work really well in this pie because the flavors are stronger.

Can I use sugar-free Kool-Aid?

For sure but just know that the sweetness of the pie will be brought down some.
