  • Celery
  • Mayonnaise
  • Old Bay Seasoning
  • Green Onions
  • Dijon Mustard

How To Make Crab Salad

  • In a large bowl, mix together the crab meat, celery, and red onion.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, and hot sauce (if using). Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Gently fold the mayonnaise mixture into the crab mixture. Mix until well combined.
  • Cover & refrigerate the crab salad for at least an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

  • Serve this crab salad chilled, garnished with lemon and/or fresh herbs.
  • Crab salad is best when eaten within 1 to 2 days of preparation. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. I do not recommend freezing leftover crab salad. 
  • For the best flavor, use fresh crab meat if possible. Having said that, imitation or canned crab meat can also be used. 
  • Adjust the mayonnaise based dressing to your liking. 
  • Gently mixing the crab salad to avoid breaking up the crab meat. 
  • Crab salad is best served cold.
  • Do not let this sit at room temperature for long periods of time. When not being served, this is best stored in the refrigerator at all times.
