Crockpot Beef Tips & Rice

Crockpot beef tips & rice is a comforting recipe that can be served any day of the week. Chunks of seasoned beef slow cook until tender and then served with cooked rice. This easy recipe that will people asking for seconds!

Ingredients For Beef Tips & Rice

  • Beef Sirloin or Beef Stew Meat
  • Cooked Rice
  • Beef Broth
  • Garlic
  • Seasonings: salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin

How To Make Beef Tips & Rice

  1. Add the broth, garlic, and seasonings to the slow cooker. Stir until blended. Season the beef generously with salt & pepper. Add the beef to the slow cooker.
  2. Cook HIGH 3-4 hours or LOW 6-8.
  3. In a small bowl mix together the flour and water. Pour the mixture into the slow cooker and stir. Cook an additional 10-15 minutes on HIGH or until gravy has thickened to your liking.
  4. Serve over cooked rice.

What Type Of Beef To Use

What you see here in the pics is beef stew meat. Other suggestions include cut up beef sirloin, or cut up roast like chuck roast, round roast, rump roast, or even brisket. The beauty of the slow cooker is that it will cook even the toughest cut of meat to falling apart tender.

What Type Of Rice To Use

This beef tips & rice recipe calls for cooked rice. Whether you use white rice, brown rice, cauliflower rice, that’s up to you. I like to serve the beef tips & gravy on top of the rice. The cooked rice can also be added directly into the slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds beef stew meat or beef sirloin cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning (or another dried herb)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 cups cooked rice (for serving)
  • 1 tablespoons flour + 1 tablespoons water, optional. (to thicken)

Instructions
