Why Make Smoked Sausage in the Air Fryer

  • Grilled smoked sausage without a grill: the air fryer crisps the sausage on the outside while keeping the meat moist. Cook it longer for the “burnt” texture that you’d get from cooking them on the grill
  • Quick and easy recipe: making these doesn’t require much. Simply add the sausage to the air fryer and use the tips to make them successfully.

Ingredients Needed

  • Smoked Sausage: this recipe works with any smoked sausage. I use it for things like andouille sausage, chicken sausage, and kielbasa. You can cut the meat into smaller pieces to serve as appetizers or large portions.
  • Cooking Oil Spray: I use avocado oil spray because it has a high smoke point, but feel free to use another cooking oil like olive oil cooking spray.

Recipe Tips & FAQs

  • Add bbq sauce during cooking: you can enjoy this without sauce, but adding barbecue sauce during the last 3 minutes of cooking will give you summer cookout vibes all year long.
  • Save the sauce for dipping: you could also pair this with your favorite sauce on the side.
  • Cut the sausage to your preference: these can be served as appetizers or as larger dinner portions of meat.
