  • Frozen Corn or Canned Corn
  • Cream Cheese
  • Butter
  • Evaporated Milk
  • Sugar
  • Salt & Pepper

How To Make Creamed Corn In The Slow Cooker

  1. Spray the slow cooker generously with cooking spray. 
  2. Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir to mix well. 
  3. Cook HIGH 2-3 hours or LOW 4-6. 
  4. Stir before serving.

What Is Creamed Corn

Creamed corn is an American side dish recipe that combines sweetened corn with cream or milk. Creamed corn is staple at households throughout the South. There is no right or wrong way to make creamed corn; it’s one of those recipes where everyone has their own version. This slow cooker version uses frozen corn, cream cheese, butter, evaporated milk, sugar, salt & pepper.

What Type Of Corn To Use

This is not a recipe for fresh corn. This slow cooker creamed corn recipe uses either frozen or canned corn. What you see here in the pictures is frozen corn. If you use frozen, no need to thaw it first, just add it directly from the freezer to the slow cooker.

FAQs & Tips

  • Store leftover creamed corn in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months. 
  • This recipes is cooked in a small 2-quart slow cooker. If you are feeding a larger crowd & need to double the recipe, you will need a larger 5 or 6-quart slow cooker.

  • 1 2-quart slow cooker
  • Cooking spray

Ingredients

  • 2 16-ounce bags of frozen corn or 4 cans of canned corn
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Spray the slow cooker generously with cooking spray. 
  • Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker. Stir to mix as well as you can. 
  • Cook HIGH 2-3 hours or LOW 4-6. 
  • Stir before serving. 

Notes

Creamed corn will thicken as it cools.
